Clarinet/Flute/Saxophone Course

  • Weekly individual lesson with the assigned teacher
  • Once a month participation in the Woodwind Ensembles. During the Woodwind Ensemble week, there are no individual lessons accorded

  • Features of the Woodwind Ensembles:
  • Transforming the students' competence to artistry by providing monthly ensemble performance practice
  • Developing ensemble skills
  • Course Objectives:

  • To master the correct breathing technique, posture and fingering
  • To develop high-quality tone production, intonation and articulations
  • To strengthen technique with well-developed fingering exercises
  • To encourage musicianship through performances as soloist or in an ensemble
  • Admission requirements:

  • Minimum age: 9 years old
  • Must own the chosen woodwind instrument upon commencement of class
